Beijing – The newly announced Pak-China Action Plan 2025–29 will play a key role in promoting peace, stability, and development in the region, according to Professor Cheng Xizhong, a well-known Chinese academic and expert on South Asian affairs.
Speaking at a recent seminar in Beijing, Prof Cheng praised the strong partnership between Pakistan and China, calling the action plan a “clear roadmap for future cooperation.” He said the plan focuses on economic growth, regional connectivity, and long-term peace, especially through projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to Prof Cheng, the plan will not only boost trade and investment but also help improve people’s lives in both countries. It includes initiatives in areas such as infrastructure, education, agriculture, technology, and energy.
He added that the growing cooperation between the two countries shows their deep trust and shared vision for a stable and prosperous future. “This partnership goes beyond business. It is based on mutual respect, strong friendship, and a joint goal of peace in the region,” he said.
Prof Cheng also highlighted Pakistan’s strategic role in regional peace and development. He noted that a stable Pakistan means a stronger foundation for economic progress in South Asia and beyond.
The Pak-China Action Plan 2025–29 is expected to guide bilateral cooperation for the next five years, focusing on high-quality development, cultural exchange, and people-to-people ties.
Experts believe this plan could set an example for peaceful cooperation and shared progress in a time when global tensions are rising.
